Biography of Carolee Schneemann

Carolee Schneemann (* 12. October 1939 in Fox Chase; † 6. March 2019 in New Paltz) was an american visual experimental artist. She was 79 years old. She was married to James Tenney. Her education included University of Illinois system, Bard College, Oak Lane Day School and University of Illinois College of Fine and Applied Arts. She received 4 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Courage Award for the Arts. Her cause of death was breast cancer.
