Biography of Charles Helou

Charles Helou (* 25. September 1913 in Beirut; † 7. January 2001 in Beirut) was a president of Lebanon from 1964 to 1970. He was 87 years old. He was married to Nina Helou. His education included Collège Notre-Dame de Jamhour, Saint Joseph University of Beirut and Collège Saint Joseph – Antoura. His faith was Maronite Church. His awards include Grand Cordon of the National Order of the Cedar‎ and doctor honoris causa from the University of Nancy. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Ra's al Nab' Cemetery.
