He was 74 years old. He was married to Anne-Marie Rassam. He had at least 1 child (1 son). He studied at Cours Simon. He received 4 awards, including Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film, César Award for Best Film. His cause of death was stroke. He was buried at Cimetière parisien de Bagneux.
