Biography of Claude Chevalley

Claude Chevalley (* 11. February 1909 in Johannesburg; † 28. June 1984 in 18th arrondissement of Paris) was a französischer Mathematiker. He was 75 years old. His education included École Normale Supérieure, University of Hamburg, University of Marburg and University of Paris. He worked at Princeton University, University of Paris and Columbia University. He received 4 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Cole Prize in Number Theory.
