Biography of Cy Twombly

Cy Twombly (* 25. April 1928 in Lexington; † 5. July 2011 in Rome) was an american painter, sculptor and photographer. He was 83 years old. His education included Black Mountain College, Art Students League of New York, Washington and Lee University, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Darlington School and Aiglon College. He received 4 awards, including Knight of the Legion of Honour, Goslarer Kaiserring. His cause of death was cancer.
