Biography of Cyrus Vance

Cyrus Vance (* 27. March 1917 in Clarksburg; † 12. January 2002 in Mount Sinai Hospital) was an united States Secretary of State from 1977 to 1980. He was 84 years old. He was married to Grace Elsie Sloane. His education included Yale Law School, Kent School and Yale College. His faith was Catholic Church. He received 4 awards, including Presidential Medal of Freedom, Four Freedoms Award – Freedom Medal. His cause of death was pneumonia. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
