David A. Huffman (* 9. August 1925 in Ohio; † 7. October 1999 in Santa Cruz) was an amerikanischer Computerpionier. He was 74 years old. His education included Ohio State University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He worked at University of California, Santa Cruz and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His awards include IEEE Richard W. Hamming Medal, W. Wallace McDowell Award and Louis E. Levy Medal of the Franklin Institute. His cause of death was cancer.
