Biography of Debabrata Basu

Debabrata Basu (* 5. July 1924 in Dhaka; † 24. March 2001 in Kolkata) was an indischer mathematischer Statistiker. He was 76 years old. His education included University of Calcutta, Indian Statistical Institute and University of Dhaka. He worked at University of Dhaka, Florida State University and University of Florida. His awards include Fulbright Scholarship, Fellow of the American Statistical Association and Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics.
