Biography
E. L. Doctorow (* January 6, 1931 in New York City; † July 21, 2015 in Manhattan) was a novelist, editor, professor. He was 84 years old. His education included Kenyon College, Bronx High School of Science and Columbia University. His faith was Judaism. He received 9 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, National Humanities Medal. His cause of death was lung cancer. He was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery.
