Biography of Edith Stein

Edith Stein (* 12. October 1891 in Wrocław; † 9. August 1942 in Auschwitz II-Birkenau concentration camp) was a deutsch-jüdische Philosophin und Autorin, katholische Nonne, Opfer des Holocaust. She was 50 years old. Her education included University of Göttingen, University of Freiburg and University of Wrocław. She worked at University of Freiburg. Her faith was Catholic Church. Her cause of death was asphyxia. She was buried at Auschwitz.
