Edith Wharton (* 24. January 1862 in New York City; † 11. August 1937 in Saint-Brice-sous-Forêt) was an uS-amerikanische Romanautorin. She was 75 years old. She was married to Edward Robbins Wharton. Her awards include Knight of the Legion of Honour, National Women's Hall of Fame and Pulitzer Prize for the Novel. Her cause of death was stroke. She was buried at Cimetière des Gonards.
