Biography of Egon Balas

Egon Balas (* 7. June 1922 in Cluj-Napoca; † 18. March 2019) was a rumänischer Mathematiker. He was 96 years old. His education included Bolyai University and University of Paris. He worked at Carnegie Mellon University. His awards include John von Neumann Theory Prize and Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
