Biography of Émile Borel

Émile Borel (* 7. January 1871 in Saint-Affrique; † 3. February 1956 in Paris) was a französischer Mathematiker und Politiker. He was 85 years old. He was married to Camille Marbo. His education included École Normale Supérieure and Lycée Louis-le-Grand. He worked at University of Paris and University of Lille. He received 9 awards, including Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, Croix de guerre 1939–1945. He was buried at cimetière de Saint-Affrique.
