Biography of Émile Durkheim

Émile Durkheim (* 15. April 1858 in Épinal; † 15. November 1917 in Paris) was a französischer Soziologe und Ethnologe. He was 59 years old. His education included École Normale Supérieure, Lycée Louis-le-Grand, Leipzig University and University of Bordeaux. He worked at University of Paris, École pratique des hautes études and University of Bordeaux. His faith was atheism. His cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage. He was buried at Montparnasse Cemetery.
