Biography of Ernst Badian

Ernst Badian (* 8. August 1925 in Vienna; † 1. February 2011 in Boston) was a österreichisch-neuseeländisch-britisch-US-amerikanischer Althistoriker. He was 85 years old. His education included University of Canterbury and University College, Oxford. He worked at Harvard University, University of Sheffield, Durham University, University of Leeds, University at Buffalo and University of Washington. He received 5 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Sather Professor.
