Biography of Erving Goffman

Erving Goffman (* 11. June 1922 in Mannville; † 19. November 1982 in Philadelphia) was an amerikanischer Soziologe. He was 60 years old. His education included University of Toronto, University of Chicago, University of Manitoba and St. John's High School. He worked at University of California, Berkeley and University of Pennsylvania. He was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship. His cause of death was cancer. He was buried at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
