François Mitterrand (* 26. October 1916 in Jarnac; † 8. January 1996 in 7th arrondissement of Paris) was a 21st President of the French Republic from 1981 to 1995. He was 79 years old. He was married to Danielle Mitterrand. His education included Paris Law Faculty and Sciences Po. His faith was agnosticism. He received 9 awards, including Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, Officer of the Legion of Honour. His cause of death was prostate cancer.
