Biography of Franz Borkenau

Franz Borkenau (* 15. December 1900 in Vienna; † 22. May 1957 in Zurich) was a geschichtsphilosoph, Kulturhistoriker und Soziologe. He was 56 years old. His education included Leipzig University and University of Vienna. He worked at University of Marburg, University of Frankfurt Institute for Social Research, University of Panama, University of London and United States Office of War Information. His cause of death was myocardial infarction.
