Biography of Fujishima Takeji

Fujishima Takeji (* 15. October 1867 in Ikenoue-chō; † 19. March 1943 in Tokyo) was a japanischer Maler. He was 75 years old. His education included Beaux-Arts de Paris and Kōnan High School. He worked at Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts and Kawabata School of Painting. He was awarded the Order of Culture. His cause of death was intracranial hemorrhage. He was buried at Aoyama Cemetery.
