Geoffrey Ainley (* 5. July 1924 in Leeds; † 31. October 2016) was a british jet turbine pioneer. He was 92 years old. His education included Brentwood School and Queen Mary University of London. He worked at Royal Aircraft Establishment, National Gas Turbine Establishment, Power Jets, Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom and Military Vehicles and Engineering Establishment. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
