Georg Bühler (* 19. July 1837 in Borstel, Landkreis Diepholz, Lower Saxony; † 8. April 1898 in Lindau) was a deutscher Indologe. He was 60 years old. His education included University of Göttingen and Kaiser-Wilhelm- und Ratsgymnasium (Hannover). He worked at University of Vienna, Royal Library at Windsor Castle, Göttingen State and University Library and Elphinstone College. His faith was Lutheranism. He received 4 awards, including Companion of the Order of the Indian Empire, Commander's Cross of the Order of Franz Joseph. His cause of death was drowning.
