Georg I. (* 28. May 1660 in Hanover; † 11. June 1727 in Osnabrück) was a kurfürst von Braunschweig-Lüneburg (1698–1727), König von Großbritannien und Irland. He was 67 years old. He was married to Melusine von der Schulenburg and Sophie Dorothea von Braunschweig-Lüneburg. He had at least 3 children (3 daughters). His faith was Lutheranism. He was awarded the Order of the Garter. His cause of death was stroke. He was buried at Leineschloss.
