Biography of Georg Ostrogorsky

Georg Ostrogorsky (* 19. January 1902 in Saint Petersburg; † 24. October 1976 in Belgrade) was a jugoslawischer Byzantinist. He was 74 years old. He studied at Heidelberg University. He worked at University of Wrocław and University of Belgrade. He received 4 awards, including Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts order, Corresponding Fellow of the Medieval Academy of America. He was buried at Belgrade New Cemetery.
