George A. Taylor (* 14. February 1899 in Flat Rock; † 3. December 1969 in Palo Alto) was an american military officer; recipient of the Purple Heart medal. He was 70 years old. His education included United States Army Command and General Staff College and United States Military Academy. His awards include Bronze Star Medal, Legionnaire of Legion of Merit and Purple Heart. He was buried at West Point Cemetery.
