Biography of George Alexander Knox

George Alexander Knox (* 16. December 1919 in Pleasant Point; † 4. August 2008 in Christchurch) was a new Zealand marine biologist, zoologist, Antarctic researcher and professor. He was 88 years old. His education included University of Canterbury and Christchurch Teachers' College. He worked at University of Canterbury. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society Te Apārangi, Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit and Member of the Order of the British Empire.
