Biography of George Perle

George Perle (* 6. May 1915 in Bayonne; † 23. January 2009 in Manhattan) was an uS-amerikanischer Komponist und Musiktheoretiker. He was 93 years old. His education included DePaul University, American Conservatory of Music and New York University. He worked at Queens College, New York University and University of California, Davis. His awards include Guggenheim Fellowship, Pulitzer Prize for Music and Arts and Letters Award in Music. He was buried at Calverton National Cemetery.
