Gerald Edelman (* 1. July 1929 in Queens; † 17. May 2014 in La Jolla) was an american biologist. He was 84 years old. His education included Ursinus College, Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and The Rockefeller University. He received 6 awards, including Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, Ariëns Kappers Medal. His cause of death was prostate cancer.
