Grace Hopper (* 9. December 1906 in New York City; † 1. January 1992 in Arlington County) was an uS-amerikanische Informatikerin und Computerpionierin. She was 85 years old. Her education included Vassar College and Yale University. She worked at Eckert–Mauchly Computer Corporation, Vassar College, Remington Rand, Bureau of Ships, Sperry Corporation, Naval Sea Systems Command and Digital Equipment Corporation. She received 10 awards, including Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Legionnaire of Legion of Merit. She was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
