Gunther Schuller (* November 22, 1925 in New York City; † June 21, 2015 in Boston) was an american composer and conductor. He was 89 years old. His education included Jamaica High School and Saint Thomas Choir School. He received 9 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, MacArthur Fellows Program. His cause of death was leukemia.
