Gustaw Herling-Grudziński (* 20. May 1919 in Kielce; † 4. July 2000 in Naples) was a polish writer, World War II underground fighter, and political dissident. He was 81 years old. He was married to Krystyna Herling-Grudzińska. He studied at University of Warsaw. He received 8 awards, including Order of the White Eagle, Kościelski Award.
