Biography of Herbert Marcuse

Herbert Marcuse (* 19. July 1898 in Berlin; † 29. July 1979 in Starnberg) was a deutsch-amerikanischer Philosoph und Soziologe. He was 81 years old. He was married to Erica Sherover-Marcuse. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included Harvard University, Columbia University, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and University of Freiburg. He worked at Freie Universität Berlin, Brandeis University, University of California, San Diego, Office of Strategic Services and Goethe University Frankfurt. His cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage. He was buried at Dorotheenstadt Cemetery.
