Biography of Herbert Maryon

Herbert Maryon (* 9. March 1874 in London; † 14. July 1965 in Edinburgh) was an english sculptor, goldsmith, archaeologist, conservator, author, and authority on ancient metalwork. He was 91 years old. His education included The John Lyon School, University of Westminster, Slade School of Fine Art and Saint Martin's School of Art. He worked at British Museum, University of Reading, Keswick School of Industrial Art and Durham University. His awards include Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
