Biography of Hermann Duncker

Hermann Duncker (* 24. May 1874 in Hamburg; † 22. June 1960 in Bernau bei Berlin) was a deutscher Politiker (SPD, KPD, SED), marxistischer Historiker und Gesellschaftswissenschaftler. He was 86 years old. He was married to Käte Duncker. He had at least 2 children (2 sons). He studied at Leipzig University. He worked at University of Rostock, College of Trade Unionism "Fritz Heckert", Marxist Workers School, Leipziger Volkszeitung and Bauhaus. His awards include Order of Karl Marx, Patriotic Order of Merit in Gold and honorary doctor of the Leipzig University. He was buried at The Socialists' Memorial.
