Biography of Iorgu Iordan

Iorgu Iordan (* 29. September 1888 in Tecuci; † 20. September 1986 in Bucharest) was a rumänischer Romanist und Sprachwissenschaftler. He was 97 years old. He studied at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University. He worked at University of Bucharest and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University. He received 5 awards, including Honorary doctors of Ghent University, honorary doctorate of the University of Montpellier. He was buried at Bellu Cemetery.
