Biography of Ira S. Bowen

Ira S. Bowen (* 21. December 1898 in Seneca Falls; † 6. February 1973) was an uS-amerikanischer Astronom und Astrophysiker. He was 74 years old. His education included California Institute of Technology, Oberlin College and Houghton University. He worked at California Institute of Technology, Mount Wilson Observatory and Palomar Observatory. He received 9 awards, including Frederic Ives Medal, Howard N. Potts Medal.
