Biography of Iris Zavala

Iris Zavala (* 27. December 1936 in Ponce; † 10. April 2020 in Madrid) was a puerto-ricanische Dichterin, Schriftstellerin und Hochschullehrerin. She was 83 years old. Her education included University of Salamanca and University of Puerto Rico. She worked at Utrecht University and University of Minnesota. She was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship. Her cause of death was COVID-19.
