Irwin C. Gunsalus (* 29. June 1912 in Sully County; † 25. October 2008 in Andalusia) was an uS-amerikanischer Biochemiker und Mikrobiologe. He was 96 years old. His education included Cornell University, Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and South Dakota State University. He worked at Cornell University, University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign and Indiana University. His awards include Guggenheim Fellowship, William C. Rose Award and Selman A. Waksman Award in Microbiology. His cause of death was heart failure.
