Biography of Jacob Lawrence

Jacob Lawrence (* 7. September 1917 in Atlantic City; † 9. June 2000 in Seattle) was an african American painter and art professor. He was 82 years old. He was married to Gwendolyn Knight. He studied at Pratt Institute. He received 5 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Spingarn Medal. His cause of death was lung cancer.
