Jacques Derrida (* 15. July 1930 in El Biar; † 8. October 2004 in 5th arrondissement of Paris) was a french philosopher. He was 74 years old. He was married to Marguerite Derrida. His education included École Normale Supérieure, Harvard University, University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, Faculty of Arts of Paris and Lycée Louis-le-Grand. His awards include Theodor W. Adorno Award and Harry Oppenheimer Fellowship Award. His cause of death was pancreatic cancer. He was buried at Cemetery of Ris-Orangis.
