James C. Dempsey (* 30. August 1908 in Maritime Republic of Eastport; † 9. July 1979 in Naval Medical Center Portsmouth) was an american submarine commander. He was 70 years old. His education included United States Naval Academy and Naval War College. His awards include Legion of Merit and Bronze Star Medal. His cause of death was kidney failure. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
