Biography of James Dalton

James Dalton (* 14. November 1764 in York; † 2. January 1843 in Croft-on-Tees) was a clergyman and botanist. He was 78 years old. He was married to Maria Gibson. He had at least 3 children (2 sons and 1 daughter). He studied at University of Cambridge. He worked at St Peter's Church, Croft-on-Tees. He was awarded the Fellow of the Linnean Society of London. He was buried at St Peter's Church, Croft-on-Tees.
