James Douglas-Hamilton, 5. Duke of Hamilton (* 5. January 1703; † 2. March 1743 in Bath) was a 5. Duke of Hamilton. He was 40 years old. He was married to Anne Hamilton, Duchess of Hamilton and Elizabeth Strangways. He had at least 3 children (2 sons and 1 daughter). He studied at Christ Church. His faith was Presbyterianism. He was awarded the Fellow of the Royal Society. He was buried at Bent Cemetery, Hamilton.
