Biography of James H. Wilkinson

James H. Wilkinson (* 27. September 1919 in Strood; † 5. October 1986 in Teddington) was a britischer Mathematiker. He was 67 years old. His education included Trinity College and Sir Joseph Williamson's Mathematical School. He worked at National Physical Laboratory, Stanford University, ORDNANCE BOARD, Fort Halstead and University of Michigan. He received 5 awards, including Fellow of the Royal Society, Turing Award. His cause of death was myocardial infarction.
