James M. Buchanan (* 3. October 1919 in Murfreesboro; † 9. January 2013 in Blacksburg) was an american economist, recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize for Economics. He was 93 years old. His education included University of Chicago, University of Tennessee and Middle Tennessee State University. He received 6 awards, including Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, Adam Smith Award.
