Biography of Jan Ekier

Jan Ekier (* 29. August 1913 in Kraków; † 15. August 2014 in Warsaw) was a polnischer Komponist und Pianist. He was 100 years old. He was married to Danuta Szaflarska. His education included Chopin University of Music and Jagiellonian University. He worked at Chopin University of Music. He received 8 awards, including Order of the White Eagle, Medal of the 10th Anniversary of People's Poland. He was buried at Powązki Cemetery.
