Jan Willem Reinier Tilanus (* 12. May 1823 in Arnhem; † 3. November 1914) was a dutch physician and university professor. He was 91 years old. He had at least 3 children (1 son and 2 daughters). He worked at University of Amsterdam and Athenaeum Illustre of Amsterdam. His awards include 3rd Class Order of the Crown, Commemorative medal of the Netherlands Red Cross for the ambulances of the 1870-1871 Franco-German War and Commander of the Order of Orange-Nassau.
