Biography of Jānis Zutis

Jānis Zutis (* 4. August 1893 in Friedrichstadt County; † 28. June 1962 in Jūrmala) was a soviet academic. He was 68 years old. His education included Moscow City People’s University and Faculty of Social Sciences of Moscow State University. He worked at Institute of History of the Soviet Academy of Sciences, University of Latvia and Latvian Academy of Sciences. His awards include Stalin Prize, Order of Lenin and Order of the Red Banner of Labour. He was buried at Rainis Cemetery.
