Yannis Kounellis (* 23. March 1936 in Piraeus; † 16. February 2017 in Rome) was a greek painter, sculptor and professor of arts. He was 80 years old. His education included Athens School of Fine Arts and Academy of Fine Arts of Rome. He was awarded the Oskar Kokoschka Award. He was buried at Protestant Cemetery, Rome.
