Jean Briggs (* 28. May 1929 in Washington, D.C.; † 27. July 2016) was a kanadische Ethnologin, Anthropologin, Linguistin und Lexikografin. She was 87 years old. Her education included Boston University, Harvard University and Vassar College. She worked at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She was awarded the Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
