Biography of Jean Malaurie

Jean Malaurie (* 22. December 1922 in Mainz; † 5. February 2024 in Dieppe) was a französischer Geomorphologe, Ethnologe, Arktisforscher. He was 101 years old. His education included Lycée Henri-IV, Faculty of Arts of Paris, Lycée Hoche and Lycée Condorcet. He worked at School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences, National Center for Scientific Research and Plon. He received 10 awards, including Commander of the National Order of Merit, Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres‎.
